This presentation was just above 90 minutes. It profiled Randy Engel who wrote "The Rite of Sodomy". I listened to the entire tape last evening.----The host kept pointing out that this was "Rite" and not "Right". After listening to quiet non denials, I am confirmed that this was an intentional ploy by Ms. Engel to tip off those who really understand that the Church has moved in a direction of acceptance.----One interesting aspect was the homosexual lifestyle in the Church opened the door to blackmail and extortion. This was mostly inside the political circle of the Church. However, there was a listener question of "organized crime" inside the Church. He just wanted a yes or no. After a bit of hesitation, Ms. Engel responded with a "yes" and then moved on.----She did mention three cardinals who were instrumental in the rise of sodomy. They were O'Connell of Boston, Wright of outstate Massachusetts, and Spellman of New York. It was noted that she was very careful in her wording and did not want to be nailed down. This means that this group was known but basically by word of mouth. Specific charges would lay her open to slander.
