Catholic Bishops Decry Jewish Intimidation of Christians in Palestine

“Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men” (I Thes. 2:15)

Edit:  not a lot of press coverage by our vigilant fifth estate.

Jish (Agenzia Fides) - The Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land has denounced the recent acts of intimidation perpetrated against local Christian communities by extremist Jewish groups, considered close to the settler movement.
On the morning of Friday, July 19, 2019, in Jish, in Galilee, unknown assailants damaged cars and wrote slogans in offensive Hebrew against Christians. The previous week, Friday 12 July, participants in a parish party held at the Church of St. James in Beit Hanina, a suburb of East Jerusalem, were hit by the launch of tomatoes and other objects thrown by provocateurs residing at the nearby Jewish settlement of Naveh Yaacov. At least in the first case, the intimidating act is attributable to the groups that in recent years have hit mosques or Christian places (Tabgha, Beit Jamal, Latrun, the Dormition, etc.) in various ways, signing their own violent acts and their profanations with the "Price Tag" formula (the price to pay).

The ordinary Catholic Bishops of the Holy Land issued a statement on Friday 19 July in which, among other things, they express sadness and sorrow for the repetition of criminal acts that are not prosecuted, despite numerous complaints made.
Attacks and profanations against Christian monasteries, churches and cemeteries perpetrated by extremist groups identified with the slogan "Price Tag" began in February 2012. Since then, extremist militants from groups close to the settler movement have also carried out attacks against mosques frequented by the Palestinian Arabs of Islamic religion.

The crimes committed by "Price tag" express the racial hatred of the ultra-nationalist Jewish right, and they often go unpunished. In May 2016, as reported by Agenzia Fides (see Fides, 24/5/2016), the Israeli-based Association of Rabbis for Human Rights also launched a campaign to raise awareness among Israeli political forces about the emergency represented by attacks on Christian and Muslim religious targets by extremist gangs. Thanks Tancred—For pointing out crimes by “the former chosen people” in the useful phrasing of Pope Leo XIII.

Also there’s a Seismic Shift in the Overton Window occurring as we speak. This Shift is quite crucial in the effort to overthrow the squatter in the Vatican. And I don’t mean Pope Benedict.

Where you come in for well deserved mention.

Happy Feast of St Isaac Jogues and the great Jacques de Brebeuf & Co. the North American Martyrs from our home sod of the great State of New York, and Quebec too of course.

From the Halcyon Age When Jesuits Were Men!

"From the Halcyon Age when Jesuits were men!"

Thank you for that. And so very true.

If James Martin and his ilk witnessed digits being amputated like the North American Martyrs, they would apostatize immediately screaming, "Don't touch my fresh Mani-Pedi".

While growing up, my grade school was North American Martyrs. It is now defunct. I was imbued with the fire of Isaac Jogues and John de Brebeuf. These were French Jesuits with the explosive characteristics of Jean d'Arc. Jogues even went back after recovering from having his fingers chewed off by Iroquois women. His bravery was "rewarded (scene seen in 'Last of the Mohicans' movie) where his heart was carved out and eaten as his body breathed its last.------The Iroquois were barbarian allies of the Brits against the French and their converted Hurons. Remember that the Iroquois were a nation and part of five tribes who joined together. This would be similar to the barbarians who have taken over many of the states in the Union with California and New York in the lead with their Catholic governors.

My people were the white settlers who first inhabited New England areas. People have no idea how brutal the natives were, it's always a sympathetic viewpoint toward the natives, but the original tales of life in these United States don't have that revisionist tilt, and there you find stories of men out in their fields and being cut to pieces by Indians, fully pregnant women forced to march long distances, heads and hands being cut off and hung in trees as warnings. It wasn't pretty, and there were reasons the settlers had to get serious about defense or get killed. And the natives were always prone to alcohol abuse, that's just true, so it was of course exploited. You had to be determined to survive back then, you had to be tough. The North American martyrs were beyond amazing. There is no recognizable trait one can identify between them and what passes for Jesuits today.

Agreed in all respects Gentlemen.

The "Former" great State of New York is more accurate. St. Jacques de Brebeuf was a hoss. The Iroquois drank his blood too to wash down his heart so as to be infused with his valour. Right up the Hudson River from me in the Adirondack Mountains. A mountain of a man.

Remember well that his dark night led to St. Kateri Tekakwitha and the eventual conversion of his whole people.

So too Antipope Bergoglio will drink his fill of blood--of the FFI, of the Knights of Malta, of the JPII Institute--but he too shall pass bloated as just another heretic whom the wind has blown away.

Antipope Francis may strive monumentally, monomaniacally, to destroy Holy Mother Church, and smash the foundation and cornerstone, the Rock of Christ.

Beware, Antipope Francis. I'd read up on millstones were I you and of your circle of the Homosexual Network Strangling the Church.

And further, Our Lord Himself has pronounced such a one's fate:

42 And Jesus said to them, Have you never read those words in the scriptures, The very stone which the builders rejected has become the chief stone at the corner; this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 I tell you, then, that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and given to a people which yields the revenues that belong to it. 44 As for the stone, when a man falls against it, he will break his bones; when it falls upon him, it will scatter him like chaff.

Matthew 21, verses 42-44.

Not to be off topic, but read this from our "beloved Holy Father Francis" degrading traditional Catholics and excellent seminarians again:

"Pope Francis said: “Clericalism has a direct consequence in rigidity. Have you never seen young priests all stiff in black cassocks and hats in the shape of the planet Saturn on their heads? Behind all the rigid clericalism there are serious problems.”

Who needs a Pope like this? Ha=s there ever been a pope before who insulted his own faithful day after day? Who degrades the traditions of the Church? Who mocks the teachings of the Church? Who appoints scores of people who do likewise?

I am coming to the conclusion that the one goal of Francis is to destroy the Catholic Church before he is gone.....dead or otherwise.

He might try to destroy the Church before he dies, but I have a big surprise for him. He will be consumed by hungry worms and pooped out of their behinds before he destroys the Church.

There is still so much that needs to be defined and refined in Church Teaching. How can a Pope an doctrinally infallible heretic, for example. What are his precise limits? But we can also ask, what is the Church? What are its limits, with or without a Pope? The Orthdox overextend Papal limits. Are Catholics overextending Papal powers out of caution to prevent the possibility of some doctrine not being professed?
