Catholics Pray Rosary to Oppose Evils of False Ecumenism Endorsed by Grand Rapids Diocese

Edit: received this letter from a Catholic, Tyler Nethercott, who resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who organized a rosary prayer outside their cathedral to object to the false ecumenism going on, where the local ordinary and many others endorse the evils of the Protestant Revolt.

Greetings,

I wanted to provide you with a recap of a prayerful protest at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

On Sunday, the Feast of Christ the King, there was an "Ecumenical Prayer Celebration" taking place to commemorate the 500 year anniversary of Martin Luther's schismatic revolt against Holy Mother Church.

This event was sponsored by none other than the local Catholic ordinary, Bishop David Walkowiak.

A video of the abominable event can be found here.

In the spirit of of so many great defenders of the faith before us, we had about 30 parishioners participate in the recitation of all 15 decades of the Most Holy Rosary while holding banners (for Our Lady, St. Joseph, and Christ the King) and posters (with professions of faith, a desire for true unity, and a call to pray the rosary). Our prayers and admonitions were, as St. Paul wrote to the Ephesians, "with all humility and mildness, with patience, supporting one another in charity."

We were able to gather near the entrance to the Cathedral on public property and earned the attention of nearly everyone passing by.

A handful of people stopped, one of them expressing his displeasure with us, another for 5 minutes of discussion...even an older priest who we humbly and respectfully reminded of his duty to oppose error (and not to promote it!).

It is certain that Our Lady and Our Lord Jesus Christ, on this special feast day, would find some solace in these prayers of reparation for so many lost souls divided by the errors of one of the most infamous men of the past two millennia.

Of note, please pray for a gentleman named Russell who joined us for all 15 decades. Russell is homeless and became Protestant during his adulthood after having been Catholic as a child. His wife died from cancer, and his mother just died. His family does not want anything to do with him.

There is all but certainly more to his story, but suffice it to say he still remembered all of the prayers. He was given a rosary and some money - neither of which did he ask for.

Let us pray that Our Lady will cover him in her mantle and help guide him back to the faith and to care for his temporal needs.

If you would like to email the Bishop to express your concern with this event (and so many others like it), I believe his email is:

This apostate bully, Jorge Bergoglio, who sits on the throne of St. Peter, has a lot to answer for when his time is up. Pope emeritus J Ratzinger should be shivering as he was complicit in the violation of the Immaculate Spouse of Christ.

The same scenario in Chicago under Cardinal Blaze Cupich. (no surprise there!) I shiver myself to think of these apostates upon facing the King of Kings some day, less they repent. Satan is guiding them around by the nose.

There is nothing wrong with ecumenism. It is just in the manner that it will be done. There is nothing wrong with a one world religion. It is on the way. The problem is with the manner in which it is being done.

To entitle the video "Reformation Sunday" and celebrate this abomination instead of Feast of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest in a Catholic cathedral is a scandal in itself.

Honoring heretics is what you had in mind?

Remeember the 250+ scholars who in the end signed the Fraternal Correction to "Pope" Francis? Remember the over 15,000 who signed a petition on the interent presenting the same kind of document to Francis? Well, if organized correctly by the right people in Rome (Professor Josef Siefert, etc), I'd be willing to bet that they could get 100,000 people to pray the Rosary for the removal of Pope Francis....in light of his and his associates continuing apostacy and heresy regarding Luther, the Reformation, and a hundred other areas that strike out against traditional Catholicism and traditional Catholic teaching. A big enough protestagainst him could bring Bergoglio down....if done right under his nose in Piazza San Pietro

JBQ said...

Didn't say that the way that it is being done is the right way.

You're already a follower of the anti-Christ. Repent before it's too late.

It was also released alongside one featuring the Counter Reformation.

....because they're of equal moral weight, right?

HAHAHAHA! No, isn't because they're cowards and don't want to be accused of being too pro-Luther, pro-Protestant. Wasted energy, because anyone with a thinking brain already knows that neither Bergoglio or his associates are Catholics, they are more Protestant than the Protestants in some regards. So to issue a stamp commemorating the Counter-Reformation which gave renewed emphasis to Catholic traditional teachings and liturgicial traditions and disiplines immediately brands Bergoglio and his crowd as hypocrits at the very least, because as we all know, Pope Bergoglio ny word and deed obviously hates everything and anything that stands for Catholic tradition as glorified and given renewed importance by the Counter-Reformation.

I've enjoyed commenting on this awesome Catholic website. There are only two that I know of which searches for Catholic news of major importance, as those likewise important events and stories which, for whatever reason are never covered by other mainstream Catholic websites. To them the Church is in great shape...blossoming in the New Springtime of Vatican II, everyone is working for the New Evangelization, and the Church is governed by our present Holy Father, Francis (who is really god in disguise).(small g).
I have tried to contribute, offer my spin on things, and offered historical backrounds of various topics if I think it will interest people. I also express my religious convictions and opinions (increasingly angry these days), and for that have made some enemies and gotten some insults (even racially motivated ones because as some know, I am part Indian, and look alittle more Indian than I do the Irish side of my family ( the Driscolls, Quigleys, and O'Briens) :)
But I always shrugged off the insults, because they came from people ho mostly were supporters (or closet supporters), of this person who presently calls himself Pope Francis.
Like everyone else, I'm offered my opinions about Francis, calling him a heretic but hoping I am wrong. After today, I know I'm not. He is a heretic. He is a radicall dissenter, and he IS bent on destroying the Catholic Faith and the Church.
Today, Bergoglio(alias Pope Francis), put on the table for the coming Synod of Bishops for Latin America, a suggestion that priests in Brazil be allowed to marry to counter the severe shortage of priests there. As everyone who has a brain who has been following Francis, we know that this suggestion was made originally a few years ago (right after Francis was elected), by Claudio Cardinal Hummes,OFM of Brazil....one of the most radical liberals in the Church....and one of the men who orchestrated the election of Bergoglio. News reports out today say that millions of conservative Catholics(faithful), will be outraged. Justifiably so, because only an idiot would think that this "request for married priest in Brazil", is not going to be extended to the entire Church.
This, plus the immediate firing of Fr.Thomas Weinandy , yesterday by the USCCB for standing up to Pope Francis and sending him in which he truthfully and courageously called Francis exactly what he is, makes he think that there is really, finally, no hope for the Catholic Church. It has become the Cult of the Pope, and the Cult of Francis the Dictator. He is our Furher. Whatever he commands is done. All the brave faithful who stand up to him are silenced, exiled, shamed, insulted, shunned (and even excommunicated....Catholic Faith, tradition, belief doesn't matter. Francis is god who must be obeyed. And he has a thought police to make sure people do. (Insane and sick).
So, although I've liked posting here, and found the reports are articles both here and at Rorate Caeli the best there is on the web...I going to stop contributing and even reading it. Just makes me to angry, to sad, to depressed about the Church I grew up in. And this bullshit about married priests for Brazil, and the immediate firing of a good man like Fr. Father Thomas Weinandy by the USCCB is cowardly bullshit too. The bishops should stand up to Francis too in the face of his error, but they are brainwashed by papolatry and would rather follow him than Jesus Christ.
So I'm gonna place my faith with the the remnant Catholic Faith....the SSPX, But I'd rather save my soul with the True Church, than loos it with the new Church of Pope Francis (Bergoglianism).
To everyone I enjoyed chatting with, I say "A plus Tard", "Arreviderci", "Vidimo de Kasnije" "Ta leme argo Tera", "Baad mein milate Hain". and "Ja Matane"... or in other words, "See U later"
Hopefully (maybe when we have a Pope who is a Catholic) ;)

Dear Damian,
Please go to the Carmelite Monastery on 66th Ave in Philadelphia and speak with the chaplain. He is a holy priest, a truly Roman Catholic priest. God bless and thank you for your contributions.

You'll be missed Damian.....God bless you!!!

...and keep the Faith.

Damian will go into brief hibernation and then come back like a Grizzly.---The kicker with Father Weinandy is over Planned Parenthood. I actually understand the defense of the pontiff by AB DiNardo. However, information was swiftly released by LifeSiteNews on a staff member at UCCSB of an employee who supports Planned Parenthood. Jessica Garrels has a history through Facebook of being totally supportive. This now is hypocrisy.

If the ecumenical tyranny wants the Church to endorse the Reformation, then it must endorse all what Luther said, such as:
"The Pope is an Antichrist"

Nothing wrong with a one world religion, you are right, under the condition that it will be the Catholic religion, the unique true Faith.
How can you unite the Buddhists or the shintoists into worshipping Jésus with us unless they convert to know him? Never the true catholics will accept to worship Muhammad or Buddha. This would be idolatry.

Jack said...

We should pray not for the removal of Francis but for God bestowing Francis his eternal reward in Heavens AT SOONEST.

The gift of understanding is given to us in Confirmation as a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Understanding can be clouded when there is sin present in us. I have often prayed that if it is God's will that my understanding should be increased in a given situation. Invariably, the Lord re-routes me to repentance....repentance is like cleaning up our fogged up glasses so that we can "see" better. I would encourage you to do so. Also please PRAY for your Bishops and clergy..instead of being critical of them..They do so need your prayers in these difficult times.
