Nuns Rush the Papal Throne: "They Are Going to Eat Him!"

Edit: just for your amusement.  Perhaps they were admonishing him with love?

He looks scared! :)

He has the same facial expressions as an older Edith Piaf. Amazing.

I could see them reacting this way to a Pope like Benedict XVI, or John Paul II, or Pius XII who looked and dressed, spoke, taught and acted like a Pope.....but Francis , "everybody's next door neighbor type of guy" ? No way.

Edith Piaf's been dead for 50 years, and was barely 50 when she died.
Not many people remember her. I only remember her name from a PBS documentary/biography a few years ago.

These holy women radiate the joy of the Gospel.

Actually, I liked seeing truly Catholic Nuns respecting and showing love to the Office of the Papacy and I think for the first time I saw real joy in Pope Francis's face. God moves in strange ways.

They must not have access to anything he says, or I would think that, as lovely as they look, they would have stayed in their convents that day.

What about this rush - have to go to the NYT:

"Hundreds of demonstrators dressed in black barged into a cathedral in a city in southern Chile on Saturday and interrupted the installation ceremony for the city’s new Roman Catholic bishop, Juan Barros, whom they accuse of complicity in a notorious case of clerical sexual abuse, blocking his passage and shouting, “Barros, get out of the city!”"

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/22/world/americas/angry-protest-over-bishop-juan-barros-in-chile.html

Shows how much all western so-called 'recognize & resisters' do not want to face the truth about EVIL - this is not a joke "for our amusement". I hope you all will be amused when you face Jesus Christ.

I never seen Pope Francis express that much joy except when greeting Muslims, Jews, Protestants, Atheists and Pagans. I wish he had that same joy when speaking to and treating traditionalists. I wonder if those woman were not feminist modernists dressed in Nuns Habits just to fool the world?

We can't all be miserable 24/7 and expect the same of everyone else like you.

They're cloistered...they honestly have no idea of the destruction he's perpetrating; they just know he's the pope....God bless them.

naïve comment about cloistered religious. you should get to know some of them

They often have a better idea of what's going on with "you" and with the outside world than people actively involved in the thick of it.

OH! I thought it read: "They are going to beat him!"

They might even be feminist modernist Muslims in Nuns Habits just to fool the world...or some of those trannies that Francis loves so much.

You call yourself Catholic yet you come across as a very angry and miserable person. Do you even read the Holy Gospels?

The way sedevacantists behave is identical to homosexuals, feminists, truthers, and social justice warriors. At the core, these type of people are just angry and psychologically sick persons who use a system of dogma (whether Catholicism or Marxism) to vent their anger and spread their misery while simultaneously playing the victim and fishing for empathy from others.

I'll gladly break bread with "recognize and resisters". When I go to SSPX or FSSP parishes I know I'm home amongst real Catholics, Catholics who don't just know their faith but also live the Faith, Catholics who live the joy of Gospels in Charity and Hope. I'd much rather be amongst these people than some toxic, Millenarian, sedevacantist conspiracy theorists who radiate anger and despair.

There's a reason why sedevacantist sects like the CMRI only have 30-something priests after some 45 years of existence, it's because newcomers are turned away by the lack of charity, peace and joy - the fruits of the Holy Ghost... "by their fruits you shall know them."

It's also very telling that the majority of sedevacantists live in the United Sects of America, a country that produced more heretical Christian sects than any other country in the history of mankind.

Wow, nag a sedevacantist. That'll win'em over.

"The way sedevacantists behave is identical to homosexuals, feminists, truthers, and social justice warriors."

Is there anyone who doesn't behave like a sedevacantist? Sounds like Francis is a sedevacantist!

"I'll gladly break bread with "recognize and resisters". " How Christlike you are!

"... newcomers are turned away by the lack of charity, peace and joy - the fruits of the Holy Ghost... "by their fruits you shall know them."

Sounds like you were a newcomer over there if you know this, the statement can only be the result of personal observation or it is second-hand at best. I was expecting you to say something about motes, you pulled out all the other quotes, but then, I don't know everything.

Let us be gentle with one another. "See how they love one another..."

Barnum, I wonder who's worse, a Sedevacantist or a Modernist heretic? You say, "Let us be gentle with one another". I see no gentleness in your post when you place Sedevacantists on par with "homosexuals, feminists truthers, and social justice warriors". Sounds like what Christ condemned about loving only those who love you. Traditionalists are zealous for everyone's salvation. Now thats called being Christlike. As for seeing how they love one another, tell that to Pope Francis. He has made it clear many times that he hates traditionalists. Pope Francis has humbled the Papacy, but has given himself more authority than all the Pope's since St. Peter put together. Placing himself above Scripture and the Teaching Tradition of the Church. Lets get our priorities straight (we pray that Pope Francis does the same).

I don't even know what a "recognize and resister" is. I don't care, and I usually repay the bile and venom of sedevacantists with neglect of the most benign kind possible. I just can't be bothered, really, and most of the time, sedes aren't very good at articulating their positions, so it's doubly easy to ignore.

Barnum said...

I did place sedevacantists are "on a par" with those people. I merely quoted Anonymous 5:37. Read what I wrote again. I don't worry about who is worse. I am not a casuist, and I only worry about my own sins. And I am not telling anything to my local archbishop or the Pope: they either know better than me, or they should know better! If I am zealous for someone's salvation, I will at least not nag and keep a civil tongue. And I am a failure-- I said I was going to stay off the Internet for Lent, but look at me. Please pray for my strength.

Aside- everyone is for everyone else's salvation. Have you ever heard anyone say I want to convert you to [fill in the blank] because I don't want you to be saved [or self-actualized or fulfilled, whatever the end may be]?

Barnum said...

I meant to write "I did NOT place..." Pardon me, it is late, I am going to bed. God bless you.
